RAM Mounting Systems Suction Cup Mount for Garmin GPSMAP 76C 76CS 76Cx 76CSX 96 96C

The RAM RAM Marine Grade Aluminum Mount with 3.25″ Locking Suction Base consists of the 1″ dia. ball and socket system with RAM Composite Cradle for the select mobile phones. This is perfect when you need to attach your suction cup mount to your car dash vertically or horizontally, rather than to your windshield.

User Ratings and Reviews

5 Stars RAM Suction Mount – Great Product
The RAM suction mount is great! The suction on it is pretty powerful – it attaches to a window and holds on very tightly. The ball joints make it really easy to adjust your GPS unit to basically any position you choose. This product is awesome.

5 Stars Very impressive – well built
This thing is bomber. Very well-made. Solid. Functional. The window suction pad really does hold incredibly well (it is big and has a lever that locks it into place – it does not use those wimpy little clear suction cups!).

The ultimate test will be in a month when I take it on an expedition in Africa. If it turns out that the suction pad does not hold over days of heat and bumps, I will just screw the base right into the dashboard.

4 Stars sticks well!
for flying or driving, this thing is really adjustable and stays put! You can twist it at any angle or view direction. Well worth the money.

5 Stars Great Product
I like this product because it is adaptable for different bases and mounts. The suction cup holds tight and all the parts are high quality. It adjusts to different positions easily and the holder for the unit fits tightly so it won’t bounce out.

4 Stars Ram Mounting Systems Suction Cup mount for GPSMAP 76CSX
This unit did everything it was supposed to. I have two other types of mounts and this really was the most versital. If I had to complain about anything, it would be the some what difficulty in getting the GPS into the holder. It was very easy to position and reposition. It tilted easily, held the expensive GPS very safely. At first the thought the price was a little high but now I think it was right on the money and was a very worthy purchase.

    3 Stars Clip
Worked well in my 2003 explorer, but am hesitant to use it on the new car as I am afraid it might scratch. Also blocks the duct…..logically. but holds the GPS in a good position and securly

    1 Star Cheap junk
This is a piece of junk,I have purchased vent mounts before but this is a new low in quality.Good thing it was so cheap as I threw it out!

5 Stars Just what I was looking for
This product is great and does exactly it says, it Hold you Magellan GPS over your air vent. There is no risk of it sliding off since the teeth clamp all the around the fin of the vent. It is very easy to get on. Just slide it in. It is a little difficult to remove sometimes. Also, the vent even when it is lowest placement in my car still leans slightly upwards. This might not be a problem if your cars air vent is at eye level or lower, but mine is above my eye level. This product makes it easier to reach you GPS, it is as far as your car stereo is from you, and less visible to the public. What I did not like about the window clings was that people can see it even when they are just walking by. It raises the chances of the car being stolen, this air vent mount brings in down from the dash, and away from direct visibility, reducing the chances of your getting broken into. Not to mention that this looks more nicer than the window mount.

    5 Stars Gold standard
I own this mount, plus the ones for the TomTom one X,and the Garmin Nuvi. These mounts are all great products.I owned a different mount for the Nuvi and it was junk.It had some sort of spring loaded clips that were worthless. The GPS unit spent more time on the floor of the car than it did in a viewable position. The Arkons are the standard by which all others should be judged

2 Stars Good product, lousy service
The GPS mount arrived on time but with no instructions. I contacted Semsons. Their excuse was that Amazon will not allow them to include an Internet link to the manufacturer’s instructions. It seems never to have occurred to them to make a printout (one lousy page!) and pack it with the product! I told them that is idiotic and inexcusable. This is my first and last experience with Semsons.

1 Star BAD DO NOT BUY, BAD BAD BAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
THIS IS A REALLY BAD GPS. I HAD TO RETURN IT TO THE COMPANY. AND THEY GAVE ME A REFURBISHED SYSTEM. THE REFURBISHED UNIT WAS BETTER THAN THE NEW UNIT. YOU SHOULDN’T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON A NEW UNIT. JUST BUY A REFURBISHED UNIT.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

5 Stars Great for my first GPS!
I’ve never owned a GPS before, so I don’t have a lot to compare my review to, but I am really happy with this system. It seems to be accurate and gets me to where I need to go. I would recommend this unit to anyone who is in the market for one.

    5 Stars Great
This was for a gift for my friend and every time i see them they tell me how much they love to use it.

    5 Stars Excellent so far!
I have had my unit for about two weeks now and have been testing it out on all my local trips to make sure it works and does not send me in the wrong direction locally, so I know I can depend on it when I have no idea where I am going. It has been great and has guided me to every point without incident. The voice prompts are very clear. The night mode is excellent and the unit is very easy to see. The interface is extremely user friendly, my 9 year old insists on typing in all our addresses and she has already mastered it. The POI’s are also very cool. It has found every restaurant or drug store I have searched for. The one complaint I have is the outdated map and that is not really the units fault. If you call magellan within 30 days of receipt and jump through a few hoops (provide proof of purchase and pay $10 shipping) you get an updated map. Overall excellent unit so far..

    1 Star Magellan Roadmate 1430
I am “technologically challenged”, but found the Magellan Roadmate 1430, to be easy to use, and a great help on my recent 2800 mile road trip!

RAM Mounting Systems Suction Cup Mount for Garmin GPS 60 GPSMAP 60 60C 60CS 60CX 60CSx

The RAM marine grade aluminum mount with 3.25” locking suction base includes a 1” diameter ball and socket system with RAM plastic cradle for the Garmin 60, GPSMAP 60, 60C, 60CS, 60CX, 60CSx. The Twist Lock Suction Cup is designed to have an extra strong hold on any smooth non-porous surface such as glass. Manufactured in the USA and comes with RAM Lifetime Warranty.

    User Ratings and Reviews

    5 Stars worth every penny
I bought this to use on my boat and it is rock solid. Even under some really rough conditions at high speed the mount has never come off or creeped. It’s also extremely easy to mount, adjust and remove. Much better than any other mount I have purchased

    2 Stars Mostly good
Well, the arm works well and positions in almost any position, but the suction cup attachment is poor. It was listed when I did a search for a “dashboard” mount, but I can only get it to stick to my windshield. My dash (standard Chevy Trailblazer) has a little bit of texture and apparently that is too much for it to handle. I don’t think there are many dashboards smooth enough for this unit to attach to.

    5 Stars Solid mount
The first RAM mount I have, and the best ever!

Is a solid mount for my GPSMap 60CSx, so much more solid than Garmin sold by this model of GPS

    4 Stars Solid mount
It’s a solidly built mount but it’s a little bit of a pain removing the GPS from the cradle. The quality is well worth the money though.

4 Stars Strong, sturdy and ready for action
I recently purchased this after having my Garmin GPS60csx for about a year. Like I said above it is of SOLID construction made in the USA. It fits perfectly and just rests in the cradle. I drove over some good bumps and tight turns and it stays in place just fine. The only reason for the 4-star rating instead of 5 is that is lacked instructions, although a nice full color brochure of all RAM products was included.

There are 4 screws and 2 bolts you need to screw in with a Phillips screwdriver which is pretty straight forward, however like I said before a simple instruction sheet would be nice. It is easily adjustable so you can get just the right angle. I highly recommend it for anyone who has this model GPS and would like to get additional usage in your vehicle.

Magellan RoadMate 1440 4 3 Inch Portable GPS Navigator

    User Ratings and Reviews

5 Stars outstanding GPS, love its size and accuracy
Although I’m usually an early adopter of new technology, I’m relatively new to the world of GPS navigators. I got my first GPS Navigator a little less than a year ago. It’s a Panasonic, so not one of the big name brands (i.e. Garmin or Magellan). The Magellan RoadMate is considerably thinner and lighter than my Panasonic. While I’ve been quite happy with the Panasonic, I wanted something a little more portable. The RoadMate 1440 fits easily into my pocket. I’ve been using the 1440 for the past two weeks on trips in Michigan and Florida. I really like the accuracy of the RoadMate. It gives ample warning time before a turn. It seemingly picks the best route all the time. On my current family trip to Orlando the RoadMate 1440 has helped easily get to all of the major attractions which are all in memory. I only have a minor issue with the 1440. The position of the USB adaptor port is in an inconvenient position making it difficult to remove when pulling the unit from its bracket. However this is only a very minor problem. I can highly recommend the Magellan RoadMate 1440.

    4 Stars Magellan Roadmate 1440
I can not begin to say how accurate the 1440 has been. Directions are on the money! This is the first GPS I’ve owned, but I have seen the Garmin operate and in my opinion, it doesn’t come close to the Magellan 1440. I really like the Lane Assist and the bell when you reach your turn. I’d buy another Magellan!

    1 Star Slooooow
I bought this Magellan 1440 to replace my old Garmin 660 which had a old map and had recently taken me on a horrible route. I really wanted a new unit with about the same screen size, current map pack, lots of poi’s, faster response times and the ability to deselect a particular road. For instance, I live in NYC and when I drive out of the city to go North or East my Garmin always wants me to take the Cross Bronx Exp. That road is terrible. I wanted to be able to disallow it as an option.

In comparison to the Nuvi the screen was not as bright but is was sharper. The voice was loud and clear, but made an annoying electronic pop every time a sound or voice came on.

You can deselect a road which is neat, but if you try to deselect another one it just adds back to first road you canceled. That’s just stupid.

I didn’t have it long enough to get a feel for its poi database, but it didn’t seem to find as much stuff as the Nuvi. One thing I didn’t like about its poi was once you found one you wanted, you had no way to tell how far off the your route it was without picking it as a destination. The nuvi will show you on the map before you pick it. On the Nuvi I can see if my poi is 4.8 miles ahead on the highway and 0.2 miles off an exit and not 1 mile ahead on the highway and 4 miles after the exit. Also poi are not replicated in the poi “list” and the AAA list. You have to do separate searches in each. Also very annoying. If it doesn’t find xyz in its poi database, you have to search allover again in its AAA database.

This brings me to the thing I hate about the unit. It’s incredibly slow. It takes about 12 or so seconds longer to start than my 3 year old Nuvi. It takes longer to search poi’s, plan a trip, and recalculate. But the thing that made me hate the Magellan 1440 was how slow and unresponsive it was to inputting addresses and poi names. As others have said it tries to figure out what city, street, poi, whatever, as you type in your query. The problem is that it’s so slow it can take as much as 3 seconds to offer its guess. By the time you realize it hasn’t kept up with you, you’ve already punched in two or more letters. The screen doesn’t change while it’s thinking so you naturally tap the same letter again if you’re looking at the search box, or the next letter or two if you’re not. It often doesn’t register a tap (even though it makes a sound like it did) so you naturally think it just missed the input and do it again. So now the unit appears to freeze, then acts on the inputs you made while it was “thinking.” Unfortunately, as it tries to catch up with the letters you clicked; it ends up finding some place you don’t want. You then have to start all over again picking each letter with a 2-3 second delay so the 1440 can catch up and you can tell if your tap registered or not. It reminds me of that old win95 pc at work that can’t keep up with mouse clicks and just stacks them as it executes each one in order, as it appears to have frozen. For me this is a show stopper. I could live with the slow startup, but not this input problem.

There are some pros to this unit and some more negatives that others have voiced. It’s the cheap internals however, that forced me to buy the Navigon app for my iPhone the day after I got the Magellan. Navigon on my 3gs was much faster and more pleasant to use and at half the price. I returned the Magellan, and am loving the Navigon.

4 Stars Great GPS, except for the NON anti-glare screen/ poor mount…
I tried the 1340 model of this GPS at the store before I decided to buy the slightly bigger screen version, 1440. The price is good and it is easy to use. It also gets signals pretty fast. HOWEVER, the glare made me impossible to see the screen under the sun. Another problem is about the dash mount. I tried to put this on the non-level dash of my Rav 4 but it does not work. The GPS screen won’t stand straight due to the limited angle adjustment of the mount. Basically the top part of the screen is facing towards the windshield. This makes the glare even worse!!! It is IMPOSSIBLE to see anything under the sun! I tried to turn up the brightness of the screen but it still won’t work under the California sun. I don’t want to put the gps on the windshield. So now after so long, I’m still deciding what other kind of GPS mount can help this situation. I’m not sure if those universal vent mounts are good, or if the bean bag can help? I really like this GPS but this is a major problem (that’s why I deducted 1 star). I hope someone here can give me some suggestions on the mount… Thank you!

    2 Stars No POI editor!!!
My wife and I bought this GPS on our last trip by simply comparing the interface. The one-touch interface works slick and was the primary reason we purchased it. Easy to use. My wife is happy with it. So why only 2 stars? Because it lacks a point of interest editor (POI Editor). I have about 200 locations I’d like to enter and I cannot do it! I called Magellan and was told that this model (and I assume their entire new line) lacks the ability. When I prodded for a third party application I was told there was no way to upload additional points of interest. My wife likes it but I will likely purchase a Garmin for my car which has handsome support for custom points of interest. Come on Magellan, why cripple your products?

GPS Antenna windshield mount bracket Garmin and Magellan compatible

GPS Antenna windshield mount bracket Garmin and Magellan compatible

Easily mount your external GPS antenna on your windshield with this antenna mount. Durable suction cups ensure secure mounting, while the metal surface serves as an additional ground plane to further enhance GPS signal reception and accuracy! This product is designed for Garmin, Magellan, Navman antennas. For a complete compatibility list please refer to the original manufacturer’s web site.

    User Ratings and Reviews

5 Stars Works as advertised. Good suction cups.
True, there’s not a lot to this mount, making it a bit hard to review. But it works 100% as advertised.

One thing I can definitely say, though — the suction cup mount is great! Most manufacturers of suction cup mounts for stuff (GPS receivers, radar detectors, etc) seem to think that one or two suction cups should do the job. And maybe that will work fine for most people, but I live in Florida. For those of you not currently aware, Florida is located approximately six miles from THE SUN. So invariably, I’ll leave work and get into my car (which, since lunch, has seen an increase in cabin temperature to approximately 39817 degrees), only to find that once again the suction cups that hold my radar detector to the windshield have given out from the intense heat and the unit has come crashing down. I’ve destroyed two radar detectors with this constant dropping.

So anyway, the point is that with four suction cups to distribute the weight, they each only have a fourth of the work to do. When the temperature rises, they’re much less likely to give out. As a matter of fact, they haven’t given out at all yet.

    5 Stars Exactly as advertised
Simple product works exactly as advertised. Stick it to your windshield and slap on the magnetic antenna and you’re good to go. Also comes with two screws if you really want to make sure the antenna doesn’t move.

5 Stars Simple suction cup mount
This is a simple GPS antenna mount which works quite well. I have a Garmin mount, which uses a screw on one of the suction cups to adjust the angle, which works quite well once you get it adjusted. With this mount, you bend the metal to get it adjusted and it has four suction cups to hold it in position. The platform is a bit large, especially considering the GPS antenna is is suggested for, but it is not that big of a deal and it can be used with multiple different sizes of antennas.

    4 Stars Simple but efective
Simple device, yet very effective. WYSIWYG – two screws, and a metal plate with four suction cups.

AP020 : Adhesive Mounting Disc. Mounting Pedestal. Avoid drilling unsightly holes in your dashboard with the Adhesive Mounting Disc from Arkon. For use with suction cup mounts on: console, dashboard, flat surface, 90mm diameter.

    User Ratings and Reviews

    5 Stars Great value!
The SD memory cards were a great deal and as usual very prompt service [...].

2 Stars Not as good as a windshield
The adhesive tape works great. My problem is that the suction cup just will not grip the plastic surface at all. The suction cup works amazingly on the windshield, so I know that’s not the problem. I made sure the surface was completely clean and free of dust. I tried both dry and wet. It may work with vaseline, but that’s a pain to clean.

    5 Stars It’s a mounting pad.. sheesh!
Larger size mounting pad for suction cup type devices. I used mine to secure a suction cup camera mount to my vehicle’s dashboard.

The mounting tape on the bottom of the pad is adequate to hold smaller camcorders and digital cameras. Just make sure the surface you are adhering the pad to is perfectly clean (use an alcohol wipe).

So far, the 3M adhesive is holding up (2 weeks). I’ll review the product again if the mounting tape fails before the summer’s out.

5 Stars Magellan Maestro 3225 GPS
I received the Magellan Maestro GPS today and tried it out and I just love it !!! Amazon is an awesome place to buy your needs and wants. Super fast shipping and such great deals. I am very happy with everything I have bought from them.

    5 Stars Perfect GPS
This item is working great and is perfect for me. I am using it and its working great for me.

5 Stars great for the price
For 1/2 the price of other GPS units (including refurbs), this unit does what it is supposed to do. It won’t give you the quickest route if you already know where you are traveling (like to your home as one reviewer mentioned), but that’s not the purpose of a GPS as I see it.

If you are traveling in an area you do not know or trying to find an address, then this does what it is supposed to do.

The fact that it speaks the street names and exits is an extra plus that was not on some of the other comparable units.

The maps may be two years old, but so are most of the roads, so not a big deal.

    4 Stars MAGELLAN GPS
I like my GPS. You can’t beat it for the price I paid. It hasn’t done me wrong so far. Very easy to use.

3 Stars ok for the price
info in it must be old because the first time i tried to enter an address, it said it didn’t exist. but usually it gets me where i want to go.
